OVERVIEW

What This Means for You

The warehouse is where promises to customers are kept or broken. Accuracy, speed and visibility depend on a system that directs work and records every movement.

SAP S/4HANA includes Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), embedded in the system or deployed decentrally. EWM manages inbound and outbound processes, putaway and picking strategies, waves, RF scanning, physical inventory and, in advanced scenarios, labour management, yard management and automation.

Stock Room Management is available for simpler warehouses, and we help you decide which option fits.

Webtel implements each module using SAP Activate and fit-to-standard workshops. Your key users see the standard processes in a working system, agree what fits and what does not, and help test the result. Extensions are built side by side, on SAP Business Technology Platform where appropriate, to keep the core clean.

FAQS

Common Questions

Is EWM included in S/4HANA?+

Basic embedded EWM is included; advanced features need additional licensing.

What is Stock Room Management?+

A simpler warehouse option in S/4HANA based on classic WM functions, for less complex warehouses.

Embedded or decentralised EWM?+

It depends on volume, criticality and landscape. We recommend after assessment.

Can we implement one module at a time?+

S/4HANA modules are closely integrated, so most projects implement core finance and logistics together. Some areas can be added in later phases, and we help you plan the order.

Do we need extensions?+

Only where standard processes do not meet a genuine business need. We start from SAP best practices and keep extensions to a minimum.

Is training included?+

Yes. Training is role-based and uses your own processes, so users learn what they will actually do.
