OVERVIEW

What This Means for You

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition is SAP's software-as-a-service ERP. It runs on SAP's infrastructure, is updated regularly by SAP and is designed around standard best-practice processes.

It suits companies that want to adopt standard processes, start quickly and avoid running infrastructure. Customisation is done with key-user tools and side-by-side extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform, which keeps the core clean and updates smooth.

Webtel implements Public Edition with SAP Activate, fit-to-standard workshops and a strong focus on adoption, so your teams are ready for the new processes and the regular update cycle.

Webtel helps you make this decision based on facts. We look at your system, data, custom code, business priorities and budget, explain the options in plain language and give you a recommendation you can take to your board, together with a realistic plan.

FAQS

Common Questions

Which countries does Public Edition support?+

SAP provides localisations for many countries. We check the localisation for each country you operate in.

Can we modify the system?+

Not the core. Extensions are built with key-user tools and on SAP BTP.

How often is it updated?+

SAP updates Public Edition on a regular schedule. We help you test and adopt each update.

When does support for SAP ECC end?+

Mainstream maintenance for SAP ECC 6.0 ends after 2027, with optional extended maintenance available until the end of 2030. Many companies are planning their move now to avoid a rush.

How long does a move to S/4HANA take?+

It depends on the approach, the size of your system and the amount of custom code. We give you a realistic plan after an assessment.

Can we change approach later?+

Some elements can change, but the core choice should be made early. A good assessment reduces the risk of changing course mid-project.
