OVERVIEW
SAP S/4HANA holds the data a Fawtara e-invoice needs: customer master data, tax codes, amounts and references. The work is in producing that data in the PINT OM structure, sending it through an accredited service provider and bringing the result back into SAP.
We connect S/4HANA through standard interfaces, such as IDocs, OData services or SAP Integration Suite, chosen to fit your edition. On-premise and private cloud editions give more integration options; public cloud editions use SAP's released APIs, and we design within those limits.
Many Omani S/4HANA customers are large enterprises in the April 2027 phase, often with several company codes and VAT registrations. We review billing types, tax codes and output determination across each company code, so the design works for the whole group.
We also plan the operation: who watches rejected documents, how corrections are raised and how the status is shown to finance and sales users.
CAPABILITIES
Billing documents and FI postings are converted to PINT OM.
On-premise, private cloud (RISE) and public cloud.
Statuses from your provider are visible against the document.
Standard interfaces and released APIs only.
COMMON CHALLENGES
These are the issues we see most often. Each one is planned for from the start, so it does not surface in the week before go-live.
01
Public cloud allows only released APIs and extensions.
02
Each entity needs the right VAT registration and setup.
03
Standard, intercompany and down payment billing behave differently.
04
Changes must fit your transport and testing plan.
THE FAWTARA MODEL
Fawtara, the Oman Tax Authority's e-invoicing programme, uses a Peppol-based five-corner model. Invoices are issued in the PINT OM format and travel through an accredited service provider, which delivers them to the buyer and passes the tax data to the OTA. Invoices cannot be sent from an ERP directly to the OTA.
Step 1
In your ERP, accounting or billing system.
Step 2
Checked against PINT OM and Omani VAT rules.
Step 3
Your accredited service provider exchanges it over Peppol.
Step 4
Delivered to the buyer's own service provider and system.
Step 5
Tax data reaches the Oman Tax Authority through Fawtara.
HOW IT WORKS
We document the systems, data and approvals involved in your invoicing.
Fields, rules and exceptions are defined against PINT OM and Omani VAT rules.
The connection is built and tested with real invoices, including the edge cases.
After go-live, statuses and exceptions are monitored so nothing is missed.
WORKED EXAMPLE
How a standard customer invoice becomes a delivered e-invoice.
See It in a Demo →WHY IT MATTERS
Every in-scope invoice is issued in the PINT OM format from your go-live date.
Data is checked before it leaves your system, not after a buyer or the OTA flags it.
E-invoices are stored electronically, ready for audits and OTA requests.
Standard interfaces keep your system's upgrade path clean.
Delivery and rejection statuses are visible in your own system.
New company codes are added to the same setup.
IN DETAIL
BEFORE YOU GO LIVE
