OVERVIEW

What This Means for You

SAP Business One is the ERP of choice for many growing UAE businesses, and as an SAP partner Webtel implements and supports it every day. UAE e-invoicing adds a new step after posting: every in-scope A/R invoice must become a structured PINT AE e-invoice and travel through an accredited service provider.

We connect Business One through its standard Service Layer or DI API, on both SQL Server and SAP HANA versions. Any UAE fields your current setup lacks are added as user-defined fields, so your team keeps posting documents exactly as they do today.

Business One users often run lean finance teams, so the e-invoicing process has to be almost invisible. Our approach keeps your posting routine unchanged: an A/R invoice is posted, and the e-invoice is created, validated and sent in the background, with a clear status your team can check from the document itself.

Because Webtel implements and supports SAP Business One, we can also handle the changes around e-invoicing, such as user-defined fields, approval procedures, print layouts and data clean-up, in the same project instead of coordinating between several providers.

COMMON CHALLENGES

What Usually Gets in the Way

These are the issues we see most often. Each one is planned for from the start, so it does not surface in the week before go-live.

01

Missing UAE fields

Older Business One setups may not hold every field a UAE e-invoice needs, such as the buyer's TRN in a consistent place.

02

Small teams, many documents

Finance teams cannot afford manual uploads or re-keying for every invoice.

03

Add-ons and customisations

Existing add-ons and formatted searches must keep working after e-invoicing is added.

04

Several databases

Groups with more than one company database need one consistent approach.

THE UAE MODEL

How UAE E-Invoicing Works

The UAE uses a decentralised, Peppol-based "five-corner" model. Your invoice is created in your own system, validated and delivered by accredited service providers, and its tax data is reported to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) as part of the same exchange.

Step 1

You create the invoice

In your ERP, accounting or billing system.

Step 2

It is validated

Checked against PINT AE and UAE rules.

Step 3

Your provider sends it

Your accredited service provider (ASP) exchanges it over Peppol.

Step 4

The buyer receives it

Delivered to the buyer's own service provider and system.

Step 5

The FTA is informed

Tax data is reported to the FTA.

HOW IT WORKS

From Your ERP to the FTA in Four Steps

01

Assess your system

We check your version, invoice types and where the UAE data fields already live.

02

Map the data

Your invoice data is mapped to the PINT AE format and the UAE data dictionary.

03

Connect and test

We link your system to an accredited service provider and test every invoice type end to end.

04

Go live with support

You switch on e-invoicing before your phase deadline, with our team on hand.

FAQS

Common Questions

Is our Business One version supported?+

We support current Business One versions on SQL Server and SAP HANA. Older versions are reviewed during the assessment, and we tell you upfront if an upgrade is advisable.

Do we need to change how we post invoices?+

No. Your team posts A/R documents as usual. The e-invoice is generated and sent automatically after posting.

Can Webtel also implement or upgrade Business One?+

Yes. Webtel implements and supports SAP Business One, so the ERP and e-invoicing can be handled by one team.

Do we need extra SAP licences?+

In most cases the integration uses existing interfaces. We confirm any licence implications for your setup during the assessment.

Will our printed invoice layouts change?+

Your layouts can stay as they are. The PINT AE e-invoice is the legal document for in-scope transactions, and a readable copy can still be shared.

How are rejected invoices corrected?+

Simple data issues are fixed and the document is resent. If an issued invoice must change, a credit memo is raised and sent as an e-invoice.
