OVERVIEW

What This Means for You

Under UAE e-invoicing, an invoice that fails validation is not delivered, which can delay payment and leave a gap in your VAT records. Most errors come from master data, such as missing or invalid TRNs and incomplete addresses, or from tax codes that do not map cleanly to UAE categories.

Webtel validates every invoice against PINT AE and UAE business rules before it is sent, explains each error in plain language and routes it to the person who can fix it. Corrected invoices are resent, and anything rejected later in the process is tracked to closure.

Good validation happens in layers. First, the data in your ERP is checked for completeness. Then the generated PINT AE invoice is checked against the format and business rules. Finally, responses from the accredited service provider are captured, so any later rejection is not missed.

We also help you fix the root causes. A weekly summary of common errors, such as customers without TRNs or tax codes that are not mapped, shows where master data or configuration needs improvement, so errors fall over time instead of repeating.

COMMON CHALLENGES

What Usually Gets in the Way

These are the issues we see most often. Each one is planned for from the start, so it does not surface in the week before go-live.

01

Master data gaps

Missing or invalid customer TRNs and addresses.

02

Unmapped tax codes

Tax codes without a clear UAE tax category.

03

Rounding differences

Line and invoice totals that do not reconcile.

04

Late rejections

Errors found after sending, which must still be tracked.

THE UAE MODEL

How UAE E-Invoicing Works

The UAE uses a decentralised, Peppol-based "five-corner" model. Your invoice is created in your own system, validated and delivered by accredited service providers, and its tax data is reported to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) as part of the same exchange.

Step 1

You create the invoice

In your ERP, accounting or billing system.

Step 2

It is validated

Checked against PINT AE and UAE rules.

Step 3

Your provider sends it

Your accredited service provider (ASP) exchanges it over Peppol.

Step 4

The buyer receives it

Delivered to the buyer's own service provider and system.

Step 5

The FTA is informed

Tax data is reported to the FTA.

HOW IT WORKS

How We Implement It

01

Scope the flow

We document the systems, data and approvals involved in this part of your invoicing.

02

Design the mapping

Fields, rules and exceptions are defined against PINT AE and the UAE data dictionary.

03

Build and test

The connection is built and tested with real invoices, including the edge cases.

04

Run and monitor

After go-live, statuses and exceptions are monitored so nothing is missed.
