OVERVIEW
Many smaller UAE businesses still create invoices in Word, Excel or a simple template and send them as PDFs. That will not be enough once e-invoicing applies to them: in-scope invoices must be issued as structured PINT AE e-invoices through an accredited service provider.
Webtel plans the move with you, from cleaning customer data and choosing the right invoicing or accounting system to connecting it to e-invoicing and training your team, so you are ready before your phase goes live.
Moving from manual invoicing is a chance to tidy up more than just invoices. Customer records get completed, invoice numbering becomes consistent and approvals become clear, which helps with VAT returns, audits and day-to-day cash management.
We keep the change manageable for small teams: one step at a time, with clear owners and dates, and training before your first live invoices. Your team stays in control throughout, and we stay on hand for the first billing cycles.
CAPABILITIES
We review how invoices are created, approved and sent now.
TRNs, addresses and details collected and checked.
A suitable invoicing or accounting system set up and connected.
Your team learns the new process before go-live.
COMMON CHALLENGES
These are the issues we see most often. Each one is planned for from the start, so it does not surface in the week before go-live.
01
Invoices created in Word, Excel or templates.
02
TRNs and addresses held in emails and files.
03
Deciding what system is needed and affordable.
04
Small teams with little time for projects.
THE UAE MODEL
The UAE uses a decentralised, Peppol-based "five-corner" model. Your invoice is created in your own system, validated and delivered by accredited service providers, and its tax data is reported to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) as part of the same exchange.
Step 1
In your ERP, accounting or billing system.
Step 2
Checked against PINT AE and UAE rules.
Step 3
Your accredited service provider (ASP) exchanges it over Peppol.
Step 4
Delivered to the buyer's own service provider and system.
Step 5
Tax data is reported to the FTA.
HOW IT WORKS
We document the systems, data and approvals involved in this part of your invoicing.
Fields, rules and exceptions are defined against PINT AE and the UAE data dictionary.
The connection is built and tested with real invoices, including the edge cases.
After go-live, statuses and exceptions are monitored so nothing is missed.
