OVERVIEW

What This Means for You

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is widely used in the UAE, from Business Central in growing companies to Dynamics 365 Finance in larger groups. Whichever edition you run, UAE e-invoicing requires each in-scope invoice to be issued as a PINT AE e-invoice and exchanged through an accredited service provider.

Webtel connects Dynamics 365 through its standard APIs and data entities, and reviews any electronic invoicing features Microsoft offers for your edition so you do not pay for the same thing twice. Statuses come back into Dynamics so your team can track every invoice.

Dynamics 365 customers range from fast-growing companies on Business Central to large groups on Dynamics 365 Finance. In both cases, Microsoft updates the platform regularly, so the e-invoicing integration must rely on supported APIs and extension points to stay stable.

We start by checking what Microsoft's own electronic invoicing features cover for your edition, region and licence. Then we fill the gaps: data mapping to PINT AE, the connection to your accredited service provider and the status that comes back into Dynamics.

COMMON CHALLENGES

What Usually Gets in the Way

These are the issues we see most often. Each one is planned for from the start, so it does not surface in the week before go-live.

01

Overlapping features

It is not always clear what Microsoft's own electronic invoicing features cover and what still needs to be built.

02

Frequent updates

Integrations must survive regular platform updates without breaking.

03

Several legal entities

Groups often run many UAE entities in one tenant with different settings.

04

Project and subscription billing

Non-standard billing types need careful mapping to UAE invoice types.

THE UAE MODEL

How UAE E-Invoicing Works

The UAE uses a decentralised, Peppol-based "five-corner" model. Your invoice is created in your own system, validated and delivered by accredited service providers, and its tax data is reported to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) as part of the same exchange.

Step 1

You create the invoice

In your ERP, accounting or billing system.

Step 2

It is validated

Checked against PINT AE and UAE rules.

Step 3

Your provider sends it

Your accredited service provider (ASP) exchanges it over Peppol.

Step 4

The buyer receives it

Delivered to the buyer's own service provider and system.

Step 5

The FTA is informed

Tax data is reported to the FTA.

HOW IT WORKS

From Your ERP to the FTA in Four Steps

01

Assess your system

We check your version, invoice types and where the UAE data fields already live.

02

Map the data

Your invoice data is mapped to the PINT AE format and the UAE data dictionary.

03

Connect and test

We link your system to an accredited service provider and test every invoice type end to end.

04

Go live with support

You switch on e-invoicing before your phase deadline, with our team on hand.

FAQS

Common Questions

Does Dynamics 365 already include UAE e-invoicing?+

Microsoft provides electronic invoicing features for some countries and editions. We check what is available for your edition and licence and build only what is missing.

Is Business Central supported as well as Finance?+

Yes. Both are supported; the connection method differs, but the e-invoicing flow is the same.

Will this affect our Microsoft updates?+

No. We use supported APIs and data entities, so regular updates continue as normal.

Can we use Power Automate or Azure services?+

Where it suits your architecture, parts of the flow can use services you already run. We agree the design during the assessment.

How long does it take?+

It depends on your edition, entities and billing types. You receive a dated plan after the assessment, aligned to your go-live phase.

Will our invoice reports change?+

Your printed or emailed layouts can stay the same; the PINT AE e-invoice is produced alongside them.
